First post op check up!

Its been a week since my surgery. Today they took the drain out (finally!) and I lost 12 lbs! Doctor says Im doing great with the healing process. :)

    Congrats!! That's awesome. Can I ask a stupid question? What is a drain? I had my sleeve in August and I didn't have one. It seemed they were trying to wheel me from the recovery room to the parking lot.

    I will tell you something... You did not miss out! The drain is a tube they leave inside of you to drain liquid out from your abdominal cavity (kind of like a colostomy bag). Its super uncomfortable, even more so than the incisions. Some doctors put a drain in, others dont. I guess its a matter of their personal preference.
