Do we generally wait till our two weeks pot op visit. To have the steri strips removed?

My doctor just told me that they'd fall off on their own.

Generally the more support your incisions have the nicer they will look long term, it keeps the skin together.

They only remove them if they don't fall off on their own. Sometimes if they use glue too they don't come off at all. If they are still on at your two week apt they will most the time take them off. it is better to hold your incision closed to minimize scaring but if they look like they are getting infected under the strips they need to come off so the incision can dry out.
