Deciding the Best Program/Hospital (Boston Area)

I am really looking for peoples input on how and why the decided to go with the hospital/program they chose. I have looked into many and am torn on which would work best. I have looked at MGH, Metrowest, and Lahey Burlington. I think I have decided that surgery is the best option for me and now begins the 12 millions questions...cost, recovery length, positive outcomes, risks, etc....so any help is appreciated

Hello, I'm just beginning the journey but love Newton Wellesley's program. I'd definitely recommend it!

Lahey Burlington is where I am currently in process with an April surgery date so far i am completely happy with my choice

ok so that more pro votes for lahey burlington.

Michelle4873- had you looked at any other places or just went with Lahey? They seem to move quick which is nice.

Pinkputter- How has the post support been from Lahey?

Rwhit I had looked into the salem hospital program also, I work in healthcare and have friends that did each program but I just preferred lahey and didn't want to travel into Boston

I finally decided on Lahey. It's closer to me. I definitely don't want to have to drive into town all the time either. I am a Lahey patient to begin with so it just made more sense. What a relief to have reached decision!

Hello, I will be having my surgery at Lahey, Burlington on March 21. . I think their program is wonderful.

I was sleeved Jan 16 at Newton Wellesly. excellent all the way. they are known as conservative but if you study complications after they are setting the standard

Who was your surgeon? How was your experience? What do you mean conservative?

Dr Chahal. They dont rush you to solid foods. VEry well paced progression to help you. You need the right mental mind state but you will be happy

Thanks! I have Dr. Partridge.

I am also at Lahey and having my surgery tomorrow!

I am (hopefully) have surgery at St Elizabeths with Dr. Pecquex. Anyone else in this prgram??

I'm going to St. E's. I love Dr. Pecquex... There was a little issue with a lost fax that I have feeling got there, but didn't make it's way to my chart... Which was a little frustrating and held off scheduling a surgery date, but everything is back on track and I am waiting for insurance approval. I work at BCBSMA and know the medical policy backward and foward so I know I've got the requirements down... I just can't wait until it's all official!!

Lahey Burlington is the best. I haven't had 1issue six weeks post op
