    Hi risk pregnancy!

I am high risk too (twins) but I have had a high risk pregnancy before surgery also twins! But here is how I looked at it I got more appointments and ultrasounds which meant more confirmation regularly that things were going well. Eased my mind.

    working out and pregnancy

I am 15 months out from surgery and 15 weeks pregnant with twins! I have up until this week been doing my personal training twice a week and jogging twice a week and now starting golf too. But.... I felt like I overdid it last week and freaked out I could not live with myself if I caused a problem so I am going to start to take it easy stop personal training do more walking then jogging and still golf. I am afraid of gaining and being lazy but I have to do what feels right.

    10 months out...

Awesome. Could you share the 10 months.. Weight loss any stalls or was it consistent. How much
  4. Thank you all for te thoughts, I think I just needed to hear I am not alone. I don't want to starve myself or do anything crazy, I strongly am committed to this for the long haul of my lifetime. I have learned so much in 4 short months. I feel i have a much healthier relationship with food I am not perfect but that is life. I like the idea of pep talk before I step on the scale, def good to set my expectations properly. I feel good and just want to keep going. Truthfully I would be so very happy with one pound a week. I want to lose 30 more pounds. I will keep doing it all and hope I get there eventually.
  5. Hi there I am almost 4 months out and have lost a total of 65 lbs but 45 after surgery I have been so happy so far. But this last month has been sloooowew and the last two weeks I have gone up and down the same 1 pound. Scared to death this is it? Is it? I am working out and tracking everything. I eat about 1200 calories a day. Could drink more water ... I am stuck at 175... Any thoughts advice.. Experience...
  6. Morning! You make some really good points and I think i Really needed to hear them. I was becoming obsessed with weighing myself morning and night and I originally wanted to only weigh myself once a month because I felt thatif I just focused on the lifestyle the weight would naturally happen versus the scale and the number defining how I feel. So I have not weighed myself this week and am going to try to go another week taking a break from the dear scale. It has been a relief all week almost! I have other tools I use to track how I am doing like the my fitness pal and I can tell usually with just how I feel and how things fit if I am making progress. As far as the lifestyle change... You are right and I don't think I recognize that enough. I choose a smaller plate and I am pretty used to the portion I can eat now, so the eyes and stomach are pretty much on the same level most of the time at least. At my 3 month nutrition appointment I was told I could and should add more the fruits and veggies now. This has helped a lot this week for me. I was sooo focused on Protein, now I feel I am getting a bit more balance and the things I choose to eat are most of the timebvery different from before! I hope it's all clicking, it feels that way. The exercise is huge a huge change, I really make that a priority. The other day I was planning to go do cardio after work and I ended up working late and I needed to skip and go home to get twins. Pre sleeve I would have just skipped entirely, instead I did the girls bedtime routine put them in the stroller in pjs with a bottle and I went jogging!! It even was misting and I did not let it stop me, that is a new me.... I think a little fear is good keeps me focused remembering where I was but thank you for reminding me to Celebrate the success and be proud of the changes I have made. Thanks so much as always! What size are you in these days at 143?
  7. Any idea how many calories you are eating these days?
  8. Hey jordyn, congrats on another month of feeling awesome. I always look for your monthly update first week of the month, with anticipation. I am 3 months now and my starting was 6lbs more than you and I am 5'2", I am 31 though so you def have the age working in your favor haha. But, I have this excel tracker where I track my progress and I never really set goals until I "met" you here. I now have a column where I put your monthly number so I have something to work towards bass on a real success story I can relate to. I also am even contemplating doing monthly updates on here like you maybe next month... I have lost almost 60lbs in 3 months and feel amazing, I do have loose skin but that might also be because I had twin girls less than two years ago. So the bikini ship has sailed for me lol! I remember reading your 4 month update and I was just having it and you got me to really exercise seriously as soon after surgery as I could! You said 3 weeks after so I was right there and now I love the gym! I still am not running but I am trying to push it, I also am doing personal training twice a week which I love. I think what I am soooo afraid of right now is that the weight loss will stop and I will start gaining, I just find I am scared to lose how good I feel. I think it is due to I can eat a bit more have a glass of wine and I have had a bit of a sweet tooth with Easter this past month. Have you experienced anything like this? How have you dealt with it? I hope to someday get in the 140s like you. I also can relate about not dreading events. I hosted Easter and usually I go through my closet and try everything on sweating cause noting fits... Ths year first outfit I wanted to wear, like a glove! And the skirt was something I bought 10 years ago! Here is to another month of progress and success look forward to next months update. Can't wait for warmer weather too!
  9. Quads wow, I have twins.. But quads amazing
  10. Jordyn I was worried about the social piece, so thanks for the outlook being that you are further out. Curious... 6 months out now has a typical eating day changed much from say 2 -3 months out? I am two months out and exercising a lot but finding eating... Easier now and it makes me nervous.
  11. I have been hoping and looking forward to your next post and it did not disappoint! Congrats. You are very motivating, with truth and positivity! So my question this time is .. You are young and I am sure friends go out a lot how have you dealt with alcohol and social settings going out to eat???
  12. I was 6 weeks nutritionist said it was okay to have a glass of red wine for valentines. It def felt different and I did not enjoy like I used to.

    Help meeeee team

I am six weeks out today and eating between 700-1000 calories. My dr told me to up my Protein with a target of 90grams( blood work at one month was low) trying to get 90grams in pushed my calories up I noticed. At my 3 month I plan to ask about calories but so ar so good. I focus on protein, Water, and exercise. I really have not had even any fruits, veg or carbs (bread) minimal. Trying to exercise 3 days a week cardio and resistance training. I did have my first glass of wine for valentines. Nutritionist said 1 was okay. Ehh prob won't do it for a while. My typical day is Cottage cheese Venti non fat vanilla latte Leftovers or Ckn salad, tuna salad, meat sauce with cheese Protein Bar Cheese stick Normal dinner... Baked fish, meat sauce, Ckn parm

    I cheated!

If back pain persists go to drs! Def, I would not mess around.
  17. I'm five weeks out too and think I miss wine a little. Talked to nutritionist and she said I could have a glass for valentines if I wanted.
  18. Pinkputter

    Average calorie intake

5 weeks out and I go between 600 to 1100 calories. Nutritionist told me yesterday to try to get in 90g of Protein but gave no other targets except the Water one. I too am scared to eat too much which may seem crazy at 1100 cals but keep hearing the whole first 6 months you lose the most and I just want to get it right
  19. Pinkputter

  24. Inspired! Love your posts
  25. Thanks so helpful! Good luck with the internship! I started exercising, cardio only, hoping docs say I can start my personal training again soon. I also am only weighing myself once a month, at least I am really going to try to stick to that. I think reading on here all the time about 'stalls' and people getting so stuck on the ups and downs of weight I figured not weighing myself forces me to focus on just doing everything right and the weight should follow. Hope it works.
