After all these month (since Jan) my date to get Sleeved is the 19th as strange as it may sound it seems so far away' date=' Wednesday is my pace appointment , so when I start that then the ball will start to roll.. Any pointers on the liquid diet, I might have to ask the sherif to lock me up in the Scott Co. Jail just so I can stick to the diet for two days.....[/quote']

I slept as much as possible. And ya never know, I was scheduled for surgery and at my PACE appointment they bumped me up to a special Monday morning appointment ;)

I can bring you broth in jail! I live on first street lol the jail is just a couple blocks up from me ;)

I got my date!!!! July 1st! Ahhhhh...it's real now :).

So my next big decision...July 1st is 2 month before my wedding! Is that too close? I don't mind being limited on food/drinking, but I just want to feel good physically!

Born and raised in Bloomington. Living in Fort Myers now! I used Dr. Ariel Ortiz in TJ! Fantastic. Beautiful facility! His credentials are a MILE LONG! I was sleeved May 28. Pre Op diet weight 207 SW 194 Today 184. So far so good! I wish you all the best!!!!!

I just got the call with a date! July 1st!! Ahhhhh...it makes it all real! :). I'm excited, anxious, etc

So here's my next dilemma. That is exactly 2 months before my wedding! So I'm trying to decide for sure if I want to have the surgery now or wait until late October. I don't mind the limited food/drink but want to feel physically good on my wedding day, not tired, weak, etc. Obviously there is always a chance for complications.

I wanted to get the thoughts of my Indiana peeps!! Let me know what you think!?

Stacy go ahead and get the Sleeve and get it over with and congratulations on your wedding, I just have to the 19th of this month to get sleeved, Wednesday I have a pace appointment ; nerves has not set in yet; I just want it to be over, I'm trying to stick by my diet but its tough and I don't start my clear liquid diet till the 17th, if I can get by that I'm sure I will do good. But any way Bride to be good luck!!!!

2 months I was still very drained but I don't know how much of that was complication related. My mother had no complications and was exhausted for about 8-10 weeks. It's a tough call! I don't envy you there!

Knowing what I went through, I wouldn't, honestly. But I was in the hospital for a month for a leak from a faulty staple. Crazy slim chance. But when we weren't sure if I'd make it we discussed getting married in the hospital :)

Statistically, you'll be fine!

Stacy03, I would say "go for it"!! I am excited for you! That is right around the corner.

Just had my last full sized meal. Smoked pork butt and a salad. I'm on clear liquids the next two days then surgery Tuesday.

How'd your surgery go? Hope all is well!!

I got to meet Stacy03 tonight at the St Vincent Support group. It was great to connect with you :)

Everything is going great. I just drank some tea and walked 6 laps around the halls. Gas pain sucks but is getting better. A lot better. Should be going home tomorrow.

That is great news! Enjoy those hall laps every 2 hours :)
