  7. Thank you! Yes I start drinking this around 6am and finish around 11:30. The no fat cottage cheese is about 3 Tsp (about all I can deal with) just really not hungry yet but KNOW I must get the vitamins and proteins to maintain health. I could easily split this drink in two for morning and some for afternoon. Its just I don't get any other solids till after July 1st (per Dr.) then I intend to back way off this drink and let solids foods start counting. I thought I was was suppose to take in at least 600 cal a day? Guess I read or understood that wrong. Love this site for claifications
  8. Ok I can chuck the banana. I'm not a chocolate fan (but can do it) I like using the SF Banana pudding mix (1 Tsp) and I really like the SF Strawberry Jello mix (1Tsp) with 4 real strawberries and of course the base is all Vanilla powders. I've done Lime and Orange too Yummy
  9. I make this when I make his pot of coffee. I sip on it most of the morning. For lunch I try No Fat Cottage cheese and snack I do SF jello cup. I'm not on solids yet so yeah it is kinda my only meal that and an Ocean of Water (YUK)
  10. Okay, was sleeved May 28 so almost 4 weeks. Husband bought me this kickass blender and said I should have more fun with coming up with new shake ideas.... So, here's what I did; 1/2 cup egg white (5p/100cal) 1 scoop New Whey Vanilla (30p/100cal) 2 scoop Ensira Chocolate (24p/200cal) 1 cup Greek yogurt plain (23p/120cal) 1 cup Almond milk Unsweetned Vanilla (1p/30 cal) 1 Tsp Chocolate SF pudding mix and 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 banana I figure this is 83 to 85 Protein and 550 cal. Since I'm only 4 weeks out and still liquid/soft food only and I thought this was a sure thing. Thoughts please..... need to know if this is good idea. I plan on using the SF pudding and jello mixes for flavor fun
  11. What she gave me was Trans Fat: 0 Sat Fat less than 8 Cholesterol less than 200mg serving. I figure the veggie burger route and steamed veggies, would be a step in correct direction. PLUS this 2 to 3oz BUILT IN control system hee hee can't hurt.
  12. Sleeved on May 28th down 11 pounds from surgery weight. When I started pre op at 207 today 183 so I feel all is going well. No real complaints to speak of. All seems to be healing well. Solids begin July 1st for me and that has me label reading and trying to be prepared for that. Wish I would have done this along time ago!
  13. I'm so lost! Feeling a bit "dumb" at this point. Surgery was May 28th. 25 pounds down so far YEAH! HOWEVER, solid foods can begin July 1st for me (per Dr.) I guess I thought we could eat "normal food" just a lot smaller portions and of course keeping proteins and calories and Sat fats in mind. I have bought 3 cook books for "Life after Surgery" and I see that using different spices and fat free sour cream, almond milk etc is what I will do but I'm I missing something? Are we to aim at ALL sugar free Fat free etc??? and what heck cheese(s) falls into that category? What about pasta? I went blind reading all the boxes in the pasta aisle. More than ready to leave the all liquid diet SO MISSING FLAVORS (will never drink Chocolate or strawberry shakes AGAIN!) however at least I know what Im aiming at everyday. Getting scarred for July 1st. Here I thought I'd have a Sea Scallop that day...NOT!
  14. Fantastic! Looking forward to my journey as well. I am 15 days post op and started treadmill 3 days ago. Only doing a mile at 3.5 for 24 mins next week would love to go to 1.5 and so on. Are you experiencing any "new" symtoms at this stage? (Hair loss, food staying down, head aches etc)
  15. Now thats good news.! I have thick hair but not looking forward to that part at all! So much for this long bob haircut hee hee Thanks Girls!
  16. Wonder if Plication would have been a better choice. I know.... done is done. At least it isn't permanent
  17. I have read many stories of hairloss and or thinning from 3 months out to stopping around 6 to 7mo. Do ALL experience this? I get over 80 proteins a day and take Biotin 10,000 mcg plus all post op prescriptions. I understand balding won't occur but thinning. Just trying to brace for the storm>
  18. LOVE YOU ALL!!! This does ease my mind! I thought I BROKE my new toy!!! No seriously, I really want to do right by this new lifestyle!
  19. By the way I'm in Fort Myers. and a "sleeve sister" that day was from West Palm! Go FLORIDA!
  20. I was sleeved there May 28th 2013! Loved it! Great experience all the way around! Would do it again in a minute! Wish I would have done it years ago! OH the time I lost not investing in myself sooner!
  21. Was sleeved May 28th. Starting weight 194. Today 185. Still on full liquid diet (good thing smelling food doesn't add weight hee hee) I have no problem drinking an 11 oz protein drink in an 1.5hr. Greek yogurt 5 oz can be done in 2 settings. Vitamin Water with 42 gram New Whey added in to insure 80 proteins a day. I feel full. Totally miss flavors (If I ever see a chocolate, strawberry or Van shake again it will be too soon) but I see soooo many saying 2 to 3 oz at a time.... Lord I hope I haven't stretched this thing already.
  22. Welcome Aboard! You r not alone here!!!!!
  23. This thread makes me worry. I was sleeved May 28th. Still on full liquids. I have no problem downing a 11 oz protein shake in about an hour an half. A 5 oz Greek yogurt takes me 2 settings to complete. I do protein supps to insure I take in 80 protein per day. HAVE I ALREADY STRETCHED THIS THING!!! ARGH!!!!!!!
  24. I hope so!!! Gotta say I miss FLAVORS! hee hee
  25. Born and raised in Bloomington. Living in Fort Myers now! I used Dr. Ariel Ortiz in TJ! Fantastic. Beautiful facility! His credentials are a MILE LONG! I was sleeved May 28. Pre Op diet weight 207 SW 194 Today 184. So far so good! I wish you all the best!!!!!
