Chinese food....yuck

I am 4 months out. Had Chinese food for the first time (and maybe last time) last night. I don't know if I ate too fast and/or too much or what but this was the first time I have vomited since my surgery. I still feel queasy today. I NEVER want to feel that way again! I had chicken and snow peas.

Anyone else have a problem with Chinese food after surgery?

I don't know if it was because it was Chinese food or something else. I definitely do not follow the rule of eating slow. I usually only have 2 - 3 ounces of food at a meal but I am finished in about 5 - 10 minutes. I know this isn't good, really the only rule I haven't been following. Not sure if I need to eat sooner because I am "hungry" by the time I start eating and then I rush through it. I also didn't measure it and that I am sure didn't help.

Well lesson learned! But thankful that has been the only time I have been sick in four months.

A few days ago' date=' I marinaded shrimp with an Asian style marinade. When I took it out to cook it, the thought of having to ingest it and the smell was just too much. I used to love Chinese food. I could eat it everyday, several times a day, but post-op the smell makes me want to vom. I hope it is temporary, if not, my foodie days are over.[/quote']

For some reason I cannot tolerate seafood now ... I loved seafood before

Now maybe not tolerate is too much but certain foods smell too strong for me.

I can eat it if someone else prepares it and the smell is not so strong.

Otherwise I'm out.

So I can totally relate to what your experiencing
