So disappointed in myself!

Today is the 5th day of my 2 week preop diet. It's pretty rigid. 4 Carnation Breakfast Essentials mixed with 1 cup of water for each meal. Then, water and crystal light between them. The sweet is getting to me. I broke down and opened a can of diced tomatoes and ate some. OMG, they were delicious. But, I am totally ashamed that I broke down like that. :(

Jajaja ok Tomorrow. Thank god he put you in my path. Good night sleeve therapists <3

Hang in there. You are on the WORST pre op diet there is EVER. Too much sugar and not enough Protein in Carnation instant breakfast's. I would say if you are going to do anything I would replace one of the Carnation drinks with a real protein drink HTH

Thank you love

No Kristikay, I am supposed to mix with water. Really a bummer. I get less than 400 calories a day. The dietician said they are literally starving you to shrink your liver. Day 6 today, I can do this! Thanks everyone!!

Boy that dietician is right on the starving part!!

Glad your doing good today :)

I got my insurance approal! !

Sorry, but I haven't been on the boards this week. Did pre-op, PCP's approval...I am the one that the doctor is not putting on a pre-surgical diet. Maybe he will after my final weigh in on Tuesday, with surgery scheduled for the following Monday.

My name is Carol, current weight 223, height 5'3".

I hope you are one the lucky ones that don't have a preop diet, BuffaloCarol. I am doing alot better. I think when I got my insurance approval it really changed something in my mind. In the back of my mind, I really thought that I would not be approved. I am on the straight and narrow now. Surgery is scheduled for this Thursday. No second thoughts here......Congratulations and good luck on your upcoming surgery. Keep us posted!
