How many days post op will I most likely be able to go out for a bit? My daughter has a competition 4 days after surgery date. Will I be ok to go watch? I realize everyone is different. Just trying to get and idea...

When I had surgery they wanted me to walk around the hospital the first night. Its good to up and great around.

I don't think you'll have a problem attending the event. It'll be good to get out. Just take the juice or something with you to sip on so you don't get tempted by the concessions.

I think as long as you have a comfortable place to sit and its not several hours you will be ok. I was back working at a clinic 8 hour days a week post op!

You should be fine, most of us are up and moving around by then.

I had my surgery in Vegas (Baby!) and the next day I walked over 5 miles in and around the casinos and streets. It was July ... in Vegas ... yeah.

So, like SoS says, as long as you have a place to sit, you'll be fine. Do you have one of those collapsible camping chairs?
