That's great!

I will be applying for mine next week. Not that I have surgery scheduled but I hope it doesn't take too long to get.

So we don't have to get the passport book just the card will work?

Yes, just the card will work. No need to get the book unless you are flying into Mexico.

If you go across the land border, only a card is needed.

If you have your proof of passport card application and two forms of id I hear that could work.

Amanda Rae

But I haven't applied for it due to money issues. Or did u mean bring the application itself and birth certificate n ID...??? Sorry I've been a lil slow today.

Did you have it expedited?

Amanda Rae

I just turned in my application today for the passport card. $30 for card, $25 for processing. I had my photo taken at Walgreens for $11. Total = $66.

I am planning on having surgery around March 18th. I'm glad to hear yours only took 2 weeks.
