Sleeved 12/31/12 - Down 27 Pounds!

Hi all.

I was sleeved on 12/31 and today had my first followup. I'm down 27 pounds and got a very good report.

The left side pain is much better and I was happy to find that I'm doing great. I had my first soft food today - mashed potatoes!

I was scared to death to eat because of so many "horror" stories that I've read but it was just fine. I made sure to take a tiny bite, then a couple minutes in between before taking another. It will take me a while to gain confidence, but as I try new things, I want to make sure I'm cautious!

Anyone got any good ideas about what to eat at this point? So far, I've bought eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Congratulations on the great start. When I was in the soft stage I used a lot of canned meat like tuna and they also have in the same type of cans turkey, ham, roast beef. I also used the underwood brand roast beef spread. These are all high in protein and have low or no carbs. Good Luck.

Congrats on your loss and good check-up. Check this site out and try the ricotta bake.....it's delish. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/
