Surgery tomorrow with Dr. Alvarez

I am typing this from my hotel room in Eagle Pass, TX. The driver will pick us up at 7:15 tomorrow morning. I feel like I have a split personality disorder. I have been on the verge of tears one minute and really excited the next. I will try to update as soon as I can.

Surgery went well yesterday. I was in and out of sleep most of the afternoon, but i did get up and do some walking in the evening. I felt a pressure in the center of my upper stomach, i would describe it as discomfort more than pain. I haven't gotten sick, but i have waves of naseau that generally last from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. That has happened 5-6 times now. Today the gas pain seems worse. I have been trying to walk as much as I can. I also have to have 1 ice chip every 3 minutes. I also took a nice long nap this afternoon. Overall the recovery so far has gone better than I expected it to, but stillno walk in the park.

Congrats on your surgery! The team there will take good care of you.

You make it home okay? Let me know how you are!

Yes, we made it home and I slept great last night. Thanks for the Jello. I think it really helped. I am feeling so much better today. How are you doing? Are the pain meds making you tired at all? I feel like they knock me out.

I felt like it helped too. I may be crazy, but it felt just a little bit heavier, like it was pushing the gas in the right direction! I wish I was home. Just now getting ready for the airport!
