Beefwater

So I'm 2 months post op and some days I feel so normal that I forget that I've been sleeved. Case in point, last night. I spied some leftover chop suey in the fridge and I ate about 3 bites of it, but quickly. Didn't feel so well after that, it felt heavy in my chest. So since I'm so brilliant I decided to drink some water to help the food go down right. A few minutes later, I coughed, and all this beef flavored brown water came spurting out of my nose and mouth, my husband was quite revolted :) I'm pretty sure I'm never having sex again. Learn from my mistakes!

Ha! Yep, that sounds familiar. I think it is so strange how we sometimes just "forget"... And I'm still learning or "remembering".. LOL Case in point... I'll be SIX months post-op on Jan. 24. I just made a protein shake with water, greek yogurt, protein powder and a little sugar free hazel nut syrup. Easy... tastes good. For whatever reason, I didn't drink it slowly. Oh... the pain! I had some major air bubbles going on. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to actually burp or what was going to happen. I didn't drink it ALL at once, but it was still too fast. I did end up with some odd burps... but all is good now. 9

I'm sorry you had to learn that lesson...Never, never drink immediately after eating. Your husband will forget it happened before you do!
