Sorry I haven't been able to post lately but I read all post and everyone seems to be doing great... Surgery 9/19...down 53 lbs...started at size 20-22 down to a 12-13!

I am loving my new look and life.

I would love to find a work out partner in the Fort Worth area if anyone is interested. I joined Planet Fitness in north side Fort Worth ($10 a month) and think I would have better motivation if I had a friend with the same goals as me to work out with. Call me if interested 817-223-6241.

Not too far at all. I don't think I could meet up on a regular basis but certainly we could meet occasionally to do a work out. My sister had the same surgery 6 weeks before me and she also lives in Azle.

I think it would be nice to meet up n talk if nothing else...I don't know anyone around me who has had the surgery so it would be nice to talk to someone who is going through the same thing...that's cool that u both had it...how is progress for the both of u?

I've lost 110 (95 since surgery) and I think she's right at 95 total lost (she never disclosed exact pre-op numbers). I'm 7 months post-op and she's right at 9 months.

We need to set up a meeting sometime soon.

Ladies, most gyms do allow members to bring the occasional guest. You might consider checking your gyms guest policies and meet up at alternating gyms as policy allows.

I too have been looking for folks in Fort Worth to get with to share this experience with. I am just beginning my journey but would enjoy getting together with ya'll and learn whatever I can.. let me know.

I live near downtown FW (Hulen & 30). Had surgery on 6/28. Started at 279 (size 24) and am down to 207 (size 16). My exercising has consisted mostly of walking. I don't know many people in town who have had surgery or otherwise as I am not from Texas.

Tarrant County has several community centers which all have small gyms inside. The cost for a year for a family of up to 6 people is only $40. The only downside is that the hours are limited. The one closest to me is open 7a-7p.
