Maybe there is something else that can help that, you might try calling your NUT. I think that you may also find that you can use pepto or . I don't know but ask the NUT what the equivelant is for wls patients. Also I have had ideas myself for improving digestion post op but still unsure about them for now and pre op.

You are six weeks out and should be starting to feel noticably better. I think you need to be checked out again, seriously.

Have you tried eliminating dairy? I was extremely nauseas and hospitalized for a week 3 wks post op. Even the IV meds didn't work...took dairy out of my diet and was better within 24 hrs. I tried sour cream today, just a little, and have been nauseas most of the day. It sux something fierce but I feel a lot better. Hope you feel better!

Push your dr to prescribe you diferent anti-nausea medications until you find the one that works for you, if nothing works ask for a upper GI to see if everything it's functioning right with your new stomach. BUG you doctor until you find relieve!

Zofran, favorite anti nausea medicine... have they tried this one? Also there is a patch you can put behind your ear instead of having to swallow. This far out you should, like the other posters have suggested, should be feeling better not worse. Careful with dehydration if you are nauseated and not drinking enough. Push your doc for a solution/investigation of your symptoms. Best of luck, a yucky stomach sucks! Sorry

Are you taking any B Vitamins? If your thiamine is low which most WLS patients are post op, then you will be nauseas. They gave me an injection of it, but you can buy it OTC too. If I remember correctly its B-1. Just trying to think of other things that might help. Praying for ya!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
