Ok I just looked first appointment was the 10th. But what ever it was it was a fast process !!

Oh niiiiiiiiice. I actually never talked to anyone with this surgury. Is there a support group here in San jose that you know of?

At good Sam but I haven't gone to one yet..

At the hospital I meet other girls that had surgery the same day so we keep in touch and I visit this site a lot when I have questions or need support:)

I live in Fullerton California about 5 miles from Disneyland..... :)

I live in Fullerton. Have you had your surgery yet? What dr?

Sacramento here. Surgery planned on jan 9.

Where are you having your surgery?

gotcha-i admit' date=' it did hurt my feelings a little at the time when i 1st met him and he said i may not qual because of my lower bmi, but that i might gain weight and later become eligible. looking back, not sure if it was a hint, fact or a jab but he didn't say it rudely. it was more matter-of-fact.

still planning on the sleeve. they really didn't discuss it much throughout my classes because everyone was going RNY-so my memory is foggy on their process. how has your experience been? i asked alexis to send me some more info.[/quote']

Yeah, I didn't hear too much on the sleeve either. In the support group, there was only one person with the sleeve but everyone is very supportive there. My experience has been great with the clinic and anytime I have questions, I just email Judy and she will call within a couple hours. I thought that was very nice. Have you got your date yet?

Dr. Cirangle in San Fran. Best doctor stats. Worth every penny.

I am in Pasadena, CA. I sure would love to find a group of people to support each other in my local area!!

HI Everyone, I am in Los Gatos. I will most likely have surgery March 2013. I am seeing Dr. Pamela Foster who I adore. She is affliated with El Camino Hosp & Mills Peninsula. She has office hours in Los Gatos on most Fridays. I have been to a support group that meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at El Camino Hosp. I have actually gone several times and find it very informative. It is nice to see and hear people who have had the surgeries, and a good opportunity to meet people waiting or learning about surgery as well. The meeting is lead by the bariatric nurtritionist at El Camino. It is open to any one - you don't need to be a patient there or seen by one of their doctors. There is an informatinal session before.

I live in Tracy, but am being seen in Fremont! My file has finally headed to my surgeon, so crossing my fingers to hear about a surgery date shortly :)

Anyone in my neck of the woods prefer one support group to another?
