I've lost 40 and I was sleeved 6 days after you... I expected more as well, but I'm happy with 40 pounds in 60 days ! I certainly couldn't have lost 40 in 60 without my sleeve :P

I was sleeved 9/19/12. I have lost 42 pounds but all of a sudden I'm able to eat more than I could before. I'm worried my losing streak is over.

:-(

Hi i am new her & was wondering how long was u in pain after surgery

I didn't really have any pain to speak of other than being a little sore, which was to be totally expected. The larger hurdles for me are consuming enough liquid (staying hydrated is VERY important !) and fighting the nausea. It makes me not even want to eat at all, but I keep reading that it gets better with time, and it has gotten better, but I think it still happens way too often. Eating is no longer pleasant. It has definately become a stressful chore.

I was in pain for about 4 weeks & couldn't take the pain pills because of work. What really helped me was I wore a girdle that held my stomach tight. They also make binders you can wear. I saw one at Walgreens for about $30.

The pain was bearable most of the time but every once in a while I would bend or twist the wrong way and get this excruciating burning/tearing feeling, but like I said the girdle helped so so much!
