  1. Thanks so much everyone! I was having a minor freak out but feeling much better now! :-)
  2. Sorry, 13 months post op, not 11!!!
  3. I was 373 at my heaviest, 357 pre surgery, currently 255, have gained 3lbs since pregnancy. I am no where near goal. Pregnancy was not planned but I know I wasn't careful enough. Am I totally screwed? Are my chances of reaching a healthy weight decreased because I got pregnant before I reached goal? PS when will my hair grow back?! :-(

  5. Sleeved 9/19/12 Surgery weight: 340 Current weight: 285 A little over 3 months out & down 55 pounds. I expected more. O.o
  6. Sleeved: 9/19/12 I'm down 53 pounds, started at 340, now 287. I really can't see the difference, but I can feel it. My major issue right now is that I am not eating & exercising the way I should to optimize my tool! I need to get off my butt!!!
  7. The pain was bearable most of the time but every once in a while I would bend or twist the wrong way and get this excruciating burning/tearing feeling, but like I said the girdle helped so so much!
  8. I was in pain for about 4 weeks & couldn't take the pain pills because of work. What really helped me was I wore a girdle that held my stomach tight. They also make binders you can wear. I saw one at Walgreens for about $30.
  9. I was sleeved 9/19/12. I have lost 42 pounds but all of a sudden I'm able to eat more than I could before. I'm worried my losing streak is over. :-(

For the first time in 7 years, I am under 300 pounds. I just need a moment to take this in...
  12. I have trouble with eating slow. My bites are always too big. :-( I bought a food processor and its a huge help, but I do miss red meat! :-)
  13. Not sure if you're asking me but I feel tremendously better compared to the first two weeks. No more pain and I think I'm getting the hang of my new life style slowly but surely. I've lost 28 pounds as of last Friday...haven't weighed myself in over a week, hopefully more now!
  14. I'm not sure what you mean by "bad". I know they have a lot of sodium and are high in calories, but I've had them on multiple occasions with no problems. I do chew them up really well, though. I'm on week 4 post op btw.
  15. I am with you! I can't stomach any of the protein. Greek yogurt has been a Godsend! I will try the hot chocolate idea though. :-)
  16. My surgeon & NUT have told me not to drink 10 minutes before, during, and up to 30 minutes after eating. I made the mistake of not listening, & the feeling was AWFUL! I will definitely be following the rules from now on. My problem is that once I am completely healed, I do like a little spiciness now and then. Will I ever be able to eat and drink together again? Whenever it may be? In 6 months or even a year? I have always been a big drinker. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!
  17. Thanks, you too! Man, I can't wait to be under 300!!!
  18. Thanks O. T. R. You're a regular guru on here!
  19. Thanks for the tip Ella!!! I can't do any of the drink powders or shakes. Just the thought makes my stomach turn. Definitely gonna look into the bars!
  20. I put my Nuvaring in a week early so I wouldn't have a period during my first few weeks of recovery (it was due 3 days before my surgery). Two days after my procedure I got it anyway, even with the NuvaRing in. It was heavy @ lasted the full 7 days. I read somewhere that the stress of the procedure and the anesthesia can bring it on. Don't know about missing it though.
  21. Sleeved September 19th Starting weight: 340 Current weight: 315 My husband thinks its a lot but I just am not seeing it. :-(
  22. I never pay attention to the dates lol. Good for you! 80 pounds is amazing! Please tell me it gets easier & I will eventually stop wanting a giant cheeseburger so badly! :-p
  23. I did it. I ate exactly 4 potato chips and I was MISERABLE. Gas, pressure, nausea. I regretted it exactly 6 minutes after I was done. I wanted to throw up but I was scared it would stretch or tear at my staple line. Please be patient!!! Time will fly before you know it.
