Really Bummed Out

I just finished the last item on to do list for the surgery last week. I am finally at peace with my decision and ready to do this.

1. Money (Check)

2. Blood Work (Check)

3. EKG (Check)

4. Meet with Nut (Check)

5. Start a Pre-Surgery Diet (Check) - (Lost 30lbs, woo hoo!)

6. Psych Eval (Check)

Surprise bill from from IRS - What??????? :o

There was a problem with our 2010 Taxes and we just got a bill for about $4,000. Ugh!

I've called our CPA to figure out what (the blank) happend. Oh gee he mysteriously no longer works for the firm.

The only good thing is that the owner of the firm called me and will help us figure out what happend.

I am soooo bummed. This will take a huge chunk out the surgery money.

Now I feel doubt creeping in, maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't do this? Should I be spending this kind of money on myself? I did not have any insurance hoops to jump through (they wont pay a dime), so I some how pulled the money I felt like yes I really am going to do this. Then BAM!

I just want to cry.......

Sorry I had to vent. I just can believe this is happening again!

DayByDay

its ok to vent - even cry a bit - you are allowed

sorry for this setback - it is just a "brief"set back

hopefully the owner of the "firm" can help you/give you good advice and help

payment plan for that large sum of money you owe??,

things can hopefully be dealt with -i hope you don't just throw away all your hard work, prep that you went through for WLS

it might take a while, but hopefully you can get some help/loan - i know how much you want and need this surgery to help save your life

you are worth every penny you need spend to have this WLS, you are all prepared, money saved, i hope you do this now - before your feet get too cold

you've already lost 30 lbs

good for you

best wishes

you deserve this WLS - you are worth it

good luck

No apology needed for Venting! This is the place to do it...amoung friends. Unfortunately all we can do is listen and send hugs. I firmly believe in positive thinking....with the accountant you'll find a solution for both surgery and a payment plan for the IRS...soon a thinner you will be making affordable payments to the IRS. All Good :)

Still holding my breath until this issue is closed. But I had already decided that I would not take it out of my surgery fund. I'd just make payments. I'm glad that was an option.
