I am 6 days post op and I didn't have one at all for 4 days after surgery. They are still not normal looking, but I think that is "normal".

I'm 8 weeks out and still have to same problem. My surgeon said it will get better as we start eating more regular foods. I have to take something to help out at Lear once a week.

Start taking miralax. I used to divide the dosage in am/pm. But at 3 months out i just take a magnesium pill & 2 gummie chewies- not something you can take yet.

This is not the time to worry about having a BM. I didn't have one for at least over a week. Then I took Miralax for 2 days. Then I took 500mg of colace after that and no problems. Right now you aren't eating enough to have to have a BM. :)

We just talked about this in the chat yesterday, they will continue to be few and far between until you are eating more regular and larger portions. Not that you cant go, you are just taking in so little that your body is using most of it. I'm 31/2 months out and it is a once every 4-5 day deal still....

Miralax does great for me, one capful daily in 4oz water...

Milk of Magnesia was my friend early out. Took it twice a day, even when things started moving, just to keep things moving.
