Why Do I Hate The Word "hubby" So Much?

I can't stand when I read, "my hubby" this, and "my hubby" that. I can't explain why. Maybe I would compare it to calling my wife, "my 'ol lady."

Is it just me?

      If she called u her ol man it would be like that. Hubby is like you calling her wifey. Much less offensive in my book. Hubby has a nice warm feel when I type it about my man.

    I call mine hubby and he calls me wifey. Funny... I guess we all have our own terms of endearment. Nothin seems to bother me too much.

    I get the endearment... I do. It just bugs me for some reason. I couldn't think of the equivalent to Hubby, but Wifey must be it. I don't like it either. I'd never call my wife that.

    What's with all the chicks in the man room? :o:blink::wacko: LOL

    Hubby doesn't bother me, but I hate it when people say "mani-pedi". It sounds like baby talk to me for some reason!!
