Help With Meals 6 Weeks Out

I am 6 weeks out, released to eat real food. I do not want to drink protein shakes unless I have too. I could use some meal ideas. I understand protein first, then vegs. I do well with eggs, chili, beans, chicken, lunch meat, canned fruit, and a little baked potato, But each time I venture outside of this I have awful burping and nausea. tonight I had a couple bites of spagettie- and I still feel sick. Any ideas?

I can't do spicy food and ( I discovered tonight that beef doesn't work). I have read it all along and now I'm going to repeat it. .... Everything gets better with time!

How does fish do for you? Have you tried flounder, haddock or talapia?

Or seafood? How about shrimp, crab or lobster (stay away from oysters and clams -- too tough to chew into small bits at this point, I think).

Piece of ham slice, ground chicken burger or turkey burger. Soups? I am 3 weeks out and trying just about anything that offers a lot of Protein in a small serving.

When do you next see your doctor? I would be letting him know that nausea is a problem. Are you taking anything for stomach acid or maybe you need something for it... hope it gets better for you.

I am 7 wks post op - I eat alot of Halibut, Tilapia, chicken, and eggs. I have tried some recipes from worldaccoringtoeggface - I haven't found anything that I love yet. Eating for me still seems like a chore and I have to remember to eat. I am no hunger at all, which is a good thing!

I am also looking for some ideas - I have a real problem controlling my carbs.

There is a book, weight loss surgery cookbook for dummies, it might help as there are some good recipes!

Emilybites.com check it out. Her 'cupcake meals are perfect!
