I am a little over a week post-op and craving meat like mad! I'm getting the required protein in every day, but some dead animal just sounds soooo good.

That's the first thing I wanted after suffering through the pre-op diet and post-op first week or two. Even tuna without anything on it sounded good.

When I left the doctors office after being released to eat soft foods, I was looking for a Wendy's to get some of their chili. I've been living on meat ever since. I think I'm growing a tail.

Tuna mixed with light mayo and some seasonings is super tasty and satisfying, especially when you have done without for a while. Depending on what you're allowed, you may be able to have it fairly soon.

I tried to eat shrimp after and it just didn't go down well at all so I've stayed away from it!I do eat the crap out of chicken though and it settles well.

Yes. Today was my first day of puree after 10 days pre-op and 2 weeks post op full liquids (plus the Clear Liquids for 6 days), and that pureed ham salad really was the best food I have ever eaten!
