Does anyone have BCBS Federal? If, so what were the co morbidities that are covered with a BMI below 40?

  • If I remember the guidelines did not list them specifically, but sleep apnea is one. High cholesterol itself is not a comorbidity, but contributes to the overall picture of future health predictors.

That is pretty much what I've been told. I was just wondering if there are any others.

My coordinator worked with BCBS fed to gain approval, but I had the 40 bmi with sleep apnea. I didn't have the 2 years documented by a physician. I only had 1 year as I avoided doctors due to increasing weight. I got approved.
