Egd...funny Story

I had my egd last Friday evening (fun Friday, right?). Anyways when I got carted to te endo room my surgeon greeted me and ask if I had any questions. I informed him that I was very nervous because I have never been 'put under' any anesthesia. He explained the drug to me which was propafol (sp?). Which he followed with "don't worry Michael jackson used it". I said "really not helping since he never woke up".

Probably not as funny typed up but it made me laugh :)

  • Ha! I had the same conversation with my doc at my EGD. I said "is this the Michael Jackson drug?" and he said "Yes but we know how to use it."

I really liked that stuff! It was great. Wouldn't want to do it all the time though. LOL

Eeek, poor attempt at humor by your doc! He was probably just trying to comfort you with a little humor.

It was very bad humor but I still laughed. And he said the same thing that they know how to use it and I was being monitored. :)

just keeping thinking of the big picture!!! I'm a bit nervous, scheduled for Monday, but more EXCITED to finally have my life back!
