New Job

Hey everyone I need everyone's opinion. I found out in July I'll be losing my job in march 2013. I have a tentative surgery date of nov 12th. I am looking for a new job but I'm scared that I'll get one in oct and not be able to take a week off in nov. what is everyone's thoughts????

You can just say it's personal business or whatever. If they hire you with that provision they should be willing to honor it when the time comes.

I made my two week vacation to Disney World a condition of pre-employment, so I don't think you'll have a problem if you tell them you're having surgery or tell them you have a vacation that has been planned and paid for.

When did you tell them?? During the interview or once it was offered to you?

Same thing for me, I let them know that I sm having my appendix out aka wls and I need time off, they were fine and honor it but I didn't need two weeks off
