Ivc Filter

Hello all! I'm new and scheduled for surgery on 9/21. I was wondering if many of you had the IVC filter placed and could you share your experience? I found out Monday that my surgeon is recommending it.

    I had a filter placed when i had my lap band done in 07. U don't know it is there and there was no pain having it placed
