  1. Hey SkinnyAnnie :-) I'm officially 10 days out today. I was sleeved on 9/21. I'm a lucky girl. Recovery has been fairly smooth. I'm still struggling to get 65g of Protein in, but I'm pretty close. Today it's my goal to meet it. I'm getting about 32 oz of additional liquid in, still working up to my 64. Tomorrow is the surgical follow up....then I will know weights. I am finding after walking around for a little less than 15 min or standing still in one place too long gets me a little woozy. I'm trying to move a bit more everyday. Is anyone else experiencing that? Otherwise I feel good. Hope everyone else's recovery is as smooth

  5. You rock! The support from folks here has been great. Surgery is at 7:30am tomorrow. First thing in the morning. Hoping I will feel like updating by Saturday. Keep me posted on your progress. It's good to know we aren't alone in this...
  6. Thank Jesus you posted this! I had the IVC filter placed yesterday. Coming out of anesthesia freaked me a little, but lying on my back for four straight hours with awful lower back pain was the worst. I also couldn't take my protonix so my acid reflux made me congested and feel like breathing was difficult. I needed to hear while tomorrow (my sleeve day) may be rough, it would be more bearable than yesterday. Please tell me that at least sit you up and you can move. There is nothing worse than laying through pain. I'm asking for the nausea patch as well :-) Hoping your recovery continues smoothly!
  7. Oops. Dr. Shope at Washington Hospital Center. Forgot to mention that.
  8. Hey there! I shop in Brandwine :-) Live in Waldorf...sleeving on 9/21!
  9. Thanks to you both. A wise friend of mine reminded me that I have come this far on faith So no use worrying now!
  10. Surgery is scheduled for 9/21 and an IVC filter somewhere between now and then. Liquid diet commenced yesterday. Its not particularly hard yet, but DEFINITELY boring. Ugh.
  11. Hello all! I'm new and scheduled for surgery on 9/21. I was wondering if many of you had the IVC filter placed and could you share your experience? I found out Monday that my surgeon is recommending it.
