I think they are all placed where ever the surgeon decides to on his whim. Mine is exactly where you would place your hand to do CPR. I hope I never need it. Katt

Mine is about 5 inches left of my belly button, but above my waist if that makes sense. I wonder if there is any correlation between flipped-moving ports and original location? Are any doc's gathering info on this?

sounds like everyones is different. good question about correlation of location and flipping. thanks for replying jackye:clap2:

Mine is about two inches directly above my belly button. Mine's still fairly new, so it occasionally hurts when I bend down for a bit. I think it's the scar tissue that's sore, not exactly the port. I'm curious what makes surgeons decide where to put them.

Mine is 3 inches below my right breast. I can see it buldge a little and it feels like a lump. I just wonder if it will stick out even more after the weight is gone? I say who cares as long as I can get the weight off and live a healthy lifestyle.

Regards to all,

Mine is about 3 inches below my left breast. I have the low profile port so it is not showing as of yet, it may later I don't know. Just been 2 months.
