So I had surgery August 1st..... Is it ok to go float the river?

I would ask your surgeon. Swimming is usually not allowed post-op for a period of time because of bacteria etc, but I do not know how long. That sounds like FUN though! My kind of thing to do!

Your surgeon needs to release you to go into water, whether its a river, pool, or bathtub. The risk of infection is too high to go in before being "officially" told its ok to do so....and your surgeon is the only one who can do that for you.

They said I could get in water after 2 weeks. But I don't know if that means river or not?!?!

I'm going to the Colorado river this weekend myself and my dr said your free and clear at 4 weeks!!!
