Wow, sorry for taking so long to update the calendar. All of a sudden I saw our little thread listed as "Hot" in the August 2012 forum.

Just finished reading through the posts. Anyone know how Susie is doing?

Have not heard from Susie , I hope that she has not gotten sicker. I feel so bad for her!

Me too! Susie, where are you? Please check in when you can...

Also, friends, if you are pre-op'ing, have you tried SF Jello. I just felt like I wanted to "eat" something, with a SPOON. It really hit the spot. No calories, carbs, etc. (at least in the refrigerated little cups), just 45 mg sodium, so it made me kind of thirsty. FWIW.

I have one jello per day. I too like the chewiness of it. I really enjoy chicken broth, it is very comforting to me. I have been a grouch today!! Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

You guys are the best! Sorry I haven't checked in, been sick as u know what, hurts to swallow and now an ear infection! Dr. A has been so helpful! I'm going to see my doctor here tomorrow, I hope it's not that bad of an infection, please pray that I get meds that actually work , lol! Thank u everyone for caring ;). Let u all know tomorrow what happens! Night

Glad you are getting some meds! I hope they work too so you get get some relief!!

So glad that it is nothing worse. Right after surgery anything is bad so I hope the meds work and get you back to new! Thinking of you today ((HUGS)))

Glad to hear from you again Susie, and so sorry to hear you have strep. I can think of many things allot worse than strep. In about 2-3 days your throat will start feeling much better. did they give you a shot too?

I hope you have a speedy recovery and get feeling better very soon.

Thanks Jenn, no shot just liquid antibiotics . Can't wait for it to all go away... It hurts ;(

I can imagine. I have had strep twice in my life. One was so bad my throat actually bled.

Did you pick this up from your nephew when they were in? Thank god they gave you liquids. Those pills for strep are HUGE!! GO figure tho, medicines need to made over. Ailments like flu (no sore thraot) take a very tiny pill (tami-flu) and then strep, (sore, swollen throat) takes one of the biggest pills there is.

I know you will overcome this in a few days. Best wishes.

Not sure how I got it, but sure can't wait for it to go away, had it once before and it was terrible. Thank god I have no fever. I'm going to take me a nap, have a wonderful afternoon! Ttyl

Hey guys! At the docs office and I have strep! I knew it was something bad. I'm waiting on my liquid meds now and can't wait to get better. Thank u all for being by my side ;)

So glad to know you are on the mend Susie. Thanks for letting us know the scoop. I'm sure you will feel like a new woman once those antibiotics kick in. :)
