Question On Pureed Meat

When you eat puréed meat do you purée it to a liquid consistency or just to a shredded consistency. The thought of eating liquid meat repulses me. Im in my mushy stage but take meat in small tiny bites and chew it to mashed consistency before swallowing. Is this ok?

Im in the pureed stage for a few more days myself. I havent eaten much meat, but when I did I tossed it in the food processor and ground it up into a real fine grind and made sure I chewed real well and I ate in small bites. Havent had a problem at all doing it like that.

When I ended up back in the hospital a while back after surgery because of a blood clot they were giving me liquified meat... it was repulsive!

Hope this helps ya

I've stuck to beans and cheese as a replacement for pureed meat. Works fine for me.

I am in my pureed stage too. My bariatric team said that it should be pureed to an applesauce consistency. I did baby food pureed with my lap band, but now with my sleeve, I have been using by blender to puree what ever I make for supper for the family, but if it is not enough protein, I will add cottage cheese. This really makes the differance. The taste is still there and is no where near as offensive.

Good to know. I'm pretty sure I could NOT stomach pureed meat, especially since I barely eat meat as it is. Thanks for this tip!
