First Check Up

Today was my 2 week check up. My surgery was 6-18. My surgery experience was textbook. No nausea, only complaint was gas pain in shoulder. I stayed 2 nights as I didn't get back to my room on surgery day TIL 8pm. Enjoyed my morphine drip. Sipped room temp water in hospital and that's all I wanted.

Oh did I mention down 25lbs. Wooooohooooo. I didn't weigh after surgery so it was a pleasant surprise.

Still in liquid stage. However Dr said I could have puréed soft vegetables. Soooooo tonight it's cauliflower that's been prepared to mimic mashed potatoes.

He wants me to get in 60-80 grams protein per day. Found New Whey bullets at Vitamin Shoppe. 42g protein. Have one mid morning and bariatric advantage, or unjury shakes.

I do have 1 c caff and one cup decaf coffee every am. Room temp.

At least 48oz fluids.

Just bought a book "Skinny Rules" by Bob Harper. This book will take me to my goal and beyond (once I'm into solid foods)

ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I'VE EVER MADE!
