As a sleeve patient I have a person in my life that assumes I should have lost more weight since my surg date of 4/10. My total weight loss is 35 pounds but I have lost several inches. People just think u wake up from the surgery thin and it does not work that way.

It is so frustrating to hear the nagging comments and jokes. I started out at 261 and I would say losing to 226 is great and without the sleeve that would not be possible. Say a prayer for me!!!

Kim,

Hang in there! That is my worst nightmare. I am going to be sleeved on July 19th and I am sick of the stigma that I am taking the "easy" way out. I don't think there is anything easy about the decision to take your life back into control.

I'll be praying girl!

WOW!! I think you're doing an amazing job!

I'm sorry but either get that person out of your life or tell them to knock it off! If they have nothing good to say, you don't want to hear it!!!

The jokes and comments are passive agressive and those types of people in general, are not good to have around. In all honesty, if it wasn't your surgery, it'd probably be something else.

You have lost over 17lbs each of the last 2 months. That averages out to over 4lbs a week!!! That is AMAZING!!! Tell your "friend" to shut the hell up!

I'm lucky to not have many toxic people in my life, but if I did, I'd tell them honestly to mind their own business.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
