Warning!!!!!god Chat !!!!!

Ok so I named this thread so anyone who comes in here is sure to hear about GOD!!! I read a post today that caught me off gaurd. It was bashing us "christians" for letting others know we would pray for them.. Then it went on to BASH everyone that had ever mentioned GOD in any of their post. Well I just wanted to say:

"I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!!!"

LOL you should put that in the prayer thread http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=17568

When you pray, you pray that others come to know God and have their own personal relationship with him. I'm sure this is not about bashing someone else but just good clean chat.

So JMO how are you doing. WWJD?

I wear him on my sleeve or my signature at least. LOL

10 pounds gone, you girl!!!

It's sad when people stoop to bashing people's religious beliefs but I guess some (not all) people feel a need to express their views in a less than diplomatic and respectful way. I see no problem with religious debate... as long as it's just that, a debate.

First I am not a Christian, but I pray and I do let people going through tough stuff know that I will include them in my prayers. I an not trying to convert or interfere. I figure we can all use all the positive energy possible. I am a nurse and have seen prayer possitively effect people time and time again. Ones beliefs are private, but reaching out and caring are different to me.

JMO, thank you for standing up for Christ and God. I was very upset with all the mess going on here the last few days. I believe that there is an epidemic of spiritual emptiness in the lives of many people, and that drives the kind of behavior we have seen posted on the boards.

For those of us who are Believers and who are praying men and women, I hope we pray that spiritual emptiness and self-absorption can be erased by God's love and spirit.

I think LBT parodies "real" life quite well.

There is a symptomatic downward spiral going on and it's been going on since the whole fruit eating incident.

A lot of people say we are approaching the end times. It is possible, though we also have to keep an eye on history which has remained more than unpleasant all the way through.

Our information age certainly enables the masses to have access to things they don't need, and furthermore those who are devout are seen as the Leper who refuses to embrace the common desire for sin.

I'm just hanging out waiting for a life without flesh.

My major failing as a Christian: I fundamentally don't like being open and caring to those around me and I am incredibly reluctant to seek fellowship. I'm workin on it though

jmo

I am wanting to have the lap band surgery and from my understanding, everyone on here has had it or wanting to have it? Is that right?

Dawg, that's not a failing, that's your personality. Embrace it, flex when needed, but never consider it a failure.

For the record...the poster that this thread is referring to...was not bashing god.

Only an imbecile would have taken it that way.

Now THAT...was a bash.

Very different.

I swear the first few months on here were so enjoyable and everyone seemed content....now all the drama queens just can't leave well enough alone.

Go exercise, ride a bike, take a walk....but quit pissing and moaning already!

:heh:
