5 Days Post Op.

I had my surgery May 30,2012. It all happened so quick. I went in may 9 for my consultation, did all my classes then went in ford surgery on the 30. The hospital stay wasnt bad. Once they remove the IV and make you eat were I struggled. I did not pay attention in the nutrition classes. I figured I could do all that at home. The hospital I stayed in orange coast memorial was amazing the nutritionist came in and went over things with me. I went home Friday morning. I have bad acid reflex but the more I walk the better it gets. I've noticed the more I walk the more the negative symptoms go away. (: I have not lost any weight but i'm sure I will. I weighted in 234 at surgery. I will keep you posted.

Keep me posted - I go in tomorrow and am about the same starting weight as you. I hope to be under 200 by October!

My husband and I had it done on Friday. We are out of the hospital today and feeling great, I don't feel I've lost anything but this is the beginning of the process. I'm getting acid reflex and my husband is not. I was getting worried but I'm now glad to know that walking will make it better. Good luck to you!

I was sleeved on May 29th - went home on the 31st, was off the pain meds on the 31st. I've been very active, actually. Scales vary, but it looks like I've lost about 17 pounds so far. Going in to the doctor tomorrow, hopefully will get this drain out, and get a more accurate wait.

Whats a drain? And does everyone get it?

nope not everyone. There were 3 of us sleeved on the 29th at my hospital. I was the only one who had it. I still am not sure why I did and they did not. They took mine out the day I left the hospital (2 night stay). I plan on asking at my 1st post op appt on Wednedsay.
