Very common, especially just after the surgery. Dizziness usually occurs when too much time passes between meals, or is an early warning sign of dehydration. Lack of food or loss of bodily fluid interrupts the body’s physiological process; the electrolytes get out of balance. Increase your water first then look to eat, depending on what stage you are at.

You also might want to add a sports drink to your diet, probably one with at least 30 mg of potassium per 8 oz of water.

Thanks!! I am not getting dehydrated, so I believe it is lack of food. I am only 9 days post surgery and am afraid to have to much. I am nerveous about stretching it out.

Mush some ripe banana and mix it with greek yogurt for the extra potasium and it should help.
