ok ive seen that at heb.what about the adkins?have you heard anything about their line of protein shakes?

Not sure about the atkins ones. You may want to type it in. My doctor gave me a list of pre op shakes that i can choose from.....it wasn't on the list. Not sure why. Seems like everyones pre op instructions are different, if they even have ANY LOL

I'm a fan of Premier Protein drinks myself. I also like their bars for meal replacements once you're back on solid foods. Most of the other RTD protein shakes I've tried have a funky aftertaste. As I get farther out from surgery, though, that aftertaste doesn't bother me as badly. I didn't like the taste of diet soda or beer the first time I tried them either, but I got used to them. I guess it's the same principle.

I liked the RTD muscle milk banana cream and cake batter flavors. You can get them at the vitamin shoppe or gnc or places like walmart and the grocery store. I am not into chocolate so that was not an option for me. My sister likes them too.

well i called my doc n they said i can do any of these you all mentioned.i bought the adkins cause it was all heb had.im gonna try these and then maybe try the ones from gnc and see how they work.this is gonna be hard i love food lol

One of the best ones that I have tried is Pure Protein 100% whey Protein Frosty chocolate. They have big jugs of it, it has 25gm of Protein. You can purchase it at Target and a few other chains. I use the magic bullet to mix it and it doesn't taste bad.

My doctor set us up with something called New Directions and gave us 42 individual packets of things, with variety and it was $200.00 for the 14 days of it, but I really like the Pure Protein 100% Whey Frosty Chocolate.
