Hello Idaho Folks

Our Idaho thread has been quiet for some time and I know we have some new folks in Idaho on LBT now.. so Im starting a hello thread!

To SheryBery - You asked about my pre-op situation with Dr. Cahn. I was only on the pre-op for about two weeks and lost 16 pounds. I was also suffering with a hernia just above my belly button that Dr. Cahn was worried about and planned to repair at the time of my banding. So, I was fortunate in that I made it thru the pre-op steps fairly quickly. I was self pay, which also helped. I dearly love Dr. Cahn and have a great respect for his approach to post op care. You will be in good hands!

Tricia---"Howdy" to you too---where are you from?
:) I'm originally from Oregon but now live in Louisiana.
Tricia K, you sweetie! Hello to you too. Can we adopt you and make you an honorary Idahoan?

Idaho, he da pimp *laughs*

Hee hee...sure, you can adopt me.

Hi, Just wanted to chime in for the Idaho group. I am still awaiting banding but stop by here daily.

Susan and Dawg, you guys are a great inspiration here and great reps for idaho. Thanks for all you two do.

Hello Beauty! Hey, when the weather cools down some, Linda V and I are going to start walking in the evenings again. Let us know if you wanna join. It would be great for your pre-op goals.

And thanks for the compliment. :)

Hey~ I want to be a honorary Idahoan! I have family in Pokey, Boise, Kimberly, and Blackfoot. Will that count! Wish I had some one to walk with. Maybe I"ll have to become a frequent flier.

Woohoo! And the family grows.

I hereby declare Tricia K. and Mychevygirl as adopted Idahoans and sisters in the banded family!

*hugs*

What nights are your support groups? I'm checking my schedule to see when I could Jump ( I can do that now!Jump that is!) a flight on sis Bennie's!

There are two per month. Usually the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. The next one will be on Sept 12. But you know you don't have to wait for a support meeting. I'm sure most of us would love an excuse to go out to dinner and visit! :)

Well, I'm a fundamentally miserable bastard with the social skills of a particularly insular statue, but I can always eat.

Hell, some of these people have actually met me - I'm sure they would corroborate.

Ok let me work on it with the Seahawk schedule and motorcyle riding schedule and Dad I will try to come down in Sept. Looking forward to it. Let me know of date that will work for you all! Dawg cant wait to meet you too!

Anytime in the first two weeks of Sept is good for me, DeAnn.

I'm going to be gone a lot the second two weeks.

Can't wait to see ya!

I think a group of us might go to dinner before the support group next month so we could do both! That way, if support group is bad we will have gotten our support and had some fun at dinner! I think we were talking about going to Applebees.

I am just going to throw in one caveat.

If you try and force me to go to an italian restaurant I'll whine like a whipped.... dawg.

I will eat fish, big lumps of meat. I'm wary of mexican (too damn good), Italian (to damn good while being desperately bad), and chinese (too damn good with enough salt and MSG to give an instant heart attack).

I'll do steak and fish places though. Without hesitation.
