New to the site!

Hi everyone! I am new to this site! I just found out yesterday that I will be having the Lap Banding in Richmond California. I am excited, nervous, and looking for all the info I can on the procedure. I hope to make some friends along the way too! Is there anyone from the Sacramento CA area on this list? Its relatively a new thing they are offering out here it seems so not many are from around here.

Anyways, looking forward to chatting and learning!

Connie :)

Heyas Connie! Welcome to LBT. I remember those feelings of excitement and nervousness! What you're doing is exactly right.. get all the info you can because knowledge is power.

In case you haven't come across these bits of info, I'll put up a couple of links for you. The FAQ Forum has a LOT of great info in it.

Welcome and congratulations on your decision to be banded.

Welcome and congratulations on making the decision to get the band. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything we can help you with.

Hello to all I am Glen.

I had lap band 17 days ago and am new here. I have lost 25 pounds then gain back 2 already so I am stressed out. I thought it was gone forever but see it is a thing to work on. I am greatfull to have found this place as there is no support group here in my town so I was alone untill now. I hope to talk to you all in the chat room and would be happy to share my experiance with anyone that wants to know about it.

Glen.

Hi newbies and welcome!

Glen, don't stress about gaining those 2 pounds back. At 17 days post-op your body is still going through an adjustment/healing phase. Once you get settled back into regular food you should see an improvement. Although, 25 pounds is an awesome start!

Connie, congrats on the upcoming surgery. You'll do great!

Could someone please tell me how to creat and post a weight loss ticker?

I want to be able to track my weight loss on the scale ticker like you all have but seem to have missed that info when I created my profile. Please help.

Also thank you all for youre kind words and support I look forward to comming here to chat with yo u all and have found a new home here.
