Any Ohio Sleevers?

I'm in Cleveland and just starting the process. I met with the Surgeon at St Vincent and have started my 6 month supervised diet that my insurance company wants me to do. This just seems like its going to be forever now that I have made the decision to have the surgery.

Glad to hear you are better. Sounds like you'd better take it easy. My surgery is on the 30th. I'm doing the liquid diet now.

I didn't have any issues. Don't try to eat anything before you are supposed to. Even at 3 months out I have to be careful. I usually stick to soft foods because anything dense makes me pretty uncomfortable. I have a protein shake every morning for breakfast because I have a lot of restriction in the mornings and food is impossible lol. The rest of the day I eat cheese, greek yogurt, beans and lunchmeat. Those are my go-to foods. Good luck!!!

How are you doing?

I was sleeves July 12, 2012 by Dr. Timothy Duckett, was sent home today with a picc line and nurse visits every night. I'm unable to keep down fluids and praying a week of steroids via IV will fix the problem. I'm very scared and hoping this is not something more serious than swelling. I should mention I was converted from lapband to sleeve.

I too hope they the steroids will correct the problem. I will be praying for you. I will be having my surgery tomorrow morning.

Good luck in your surgery I'll be praying for you! I'm sure you'll come out like a champ. Thanks for your prayers, I have faith in God that the steroids will work and no revision surgery will be needed :)
