I was reading the other day and I saw for the ka-zillionth time or so where some well meaning newbie jumped into a lively discussion to ask the question. You know the one... "What is a PB?"

OK... I am originally from Pittsburgh (or Pixburg as the natives call it) and folks do not realize how bad the accent is up there.

Here's my favorite example. If I wanted to go to downtown Pittsburgh, to the Giant Eagle supermarket to buy some bologna, and I wanted to know if you'd like to come along... in Pittsburgh, I'd say:

Hey, yinz guyz goin' like dahntahn dahn nair ta da gian-iggle ta git sum jumbo anat? Yinz wanna ride me dere?

yeah they are all coming out of the woodwork. ignore them and they might go away.
