Endoscopy

I was schedule to have the endoscopy done this Thursday morning at 715 am, I have to be at work by 9. So my question is will I be ok to go to work? Will my throat hurt? Would I be able to eat properly? Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer my question.

Na....just think positive. Do u normally feel. "good"? If so shouldnt be a problem...but if they do find something atleast they will find it before it causes u any issues...but just dont be nervous ab

How awful..why didnt they put u to sleep?

I don't know? They said they were going to injected me with something that would relax me and none of that happen

I had mine was fast and out like a light. It did hurt afterwards because they did a biopsy. Hurt for three days....but nothing like the 14 day liquid diet.

Why was the 14 day liquid painful?

My endoscopy was fast and uncomfortable. They didn't put me to sleep and I was gagging throughout the entire process. But I'm just glad it's over

That is terrible! Did you complain after? That should not have been the experience. I'm so sorry. I would say something to your doctor.

There's nothing to worry about the ENDO is painless, I repeat painless, only if they put you to sleep. You will get groggy from the sleep meds but that's about it. An hr or 2 of rest will shake it off.

I has mine last year and I was up and ready to go literally an hr later... I was still high off the meds but I was functioning well

There was one woman there who wasn't put to sleep because she didn't listen and didn't bring anyone to drive her home. They simply will not let you drive yourself after -- or shouldn't.

I woke up pretty alert, but I could tell that I was still druggy because of the feeling of euphoria all day.

Give yourself a break. Take the day off. They recommend that.

Well they definitely didn't put me to sleep! I was so upset! I felt everything! But it's done and now hopefully this Monday I will have my surgery date

If u don't mind me asking, what city r u in? Not putting u to sleep sounds cruel..i would make sure u have the right doctor in the city..

I know you previously asked about if you can go to work after. Did you have someone to drive you? The post above said that she saw one person having to stay awake because she ddin't have a ride? I just don't understand why they didn't put you under??
