Happy to say that my doctor just called to tell me that the insurance approved everything! My surgery is now scheduled for April 9 and I couldn't be more excited ( and nervous). It's all becoming so real now. It's been a long 7 months, getting all my required studies done. Seemed like today would never come. Ive been everyone's stories and have found lots of comfort in them. I've lost 54 lbs on my own ( go me!!) to get ready for the surgery. So excited to see the weight come off after surgery. :):)

We will be sleeve sisters! My vsg is also scheduled for april 9th. Are you getting ready to start the 2wk liquid diet? I counting the days..and trying to complete my food funerals. Mentally I'm ready but then I will get a sudden wave of "Oh my goodness! Am I sure I know what I'm doing? and will I be able to handle the challenges I will face...then I remind myself of how much better I will feel and look and then I relax again .....until the next panic moment. How about you? How do you Feel?

Yay!!! I'm gearing up now. My paperwork only says 1 week liquid diet before. Most I've seen here are 2. Not sure why. I'm so ready for this. So tired of being fat. Happy the time has finally come. I'm 34 and have no health issues other than being big. I'd like to keep it that way. Where are you from? NY here.

I'm 38 with high cholestrol, borderline diabetic, arthritis, etc. I also fractured my ankle in 3 places 2 yrs ago and have lots of joint pain there. They said since it's a load bearing joint the wls should help. I live in kansas city, mo.
