My doc finally sent me for a barium swallow test yesterday. I asked them please don't make me drink a lot of this or I will get a horrible pain and have to vomit. I started to drink and he told me to stop. We watched it on the screen just come to a complete stop and bubble. It finally moved on through. He knew I was miserable and let me stop. So I have a striction. The first one my surgeon has ever had. Go figure right. So they brought to my work some juice like protein drinks and scheduled my second endoscope. He wants to stretch again. Let's hope this works. I've been like this for about a month now. Anyone heard of one or had problems with a stricture?

Sorry you have to deal with that but at least you know what's wrong now. I'm not sure how they remedy a stricture but good luck!

I don't know how often she is on here now but sasicas has dealt with a stricture and I believe they were able to "balloon" it open. She is also on YouTube as VSGMOM. I believe she currently has a kink in her sleeve and is waiting to find out what they are going to try and do for it. She has severe restriction because of it......Hope this helps and hope you get better soon!

Well I am glad they know what was causing it and hopefully they will get on with the business of resolving it.

Has this been going on since surgery or did this come about later?
