Quick question for those with/getting the sleeve. Are you required to take the B12 Vitamin? I am not required to take B12, but I'm wondering if I should add to my preop vitamin regiment.

Yes, unless of course, you want to feel sluggish, tired, depressed, and miserable. B12 really keeps you going. But this is just from someone who is suffering from severe malabsorption and is really sorry that she stopped taking her vitamins for over a year!

I take B12 sublingual from Trader Joe's. They disolve quickly under the tongue and have almost no tase at all. I have heard that the Walmart brand is good as well.

You should be havingblood test that will let you know hour values. My internist will follow me. Check with your doc.good luck

Thank you!! I will add that to that to my vitamin list. I have heard so much talk about people taking this vitamin after surgery. When I asked the nutritionist about it, she said I won't need it right away. Better to be safe than sorry!! Have a great day!
