Oh Boy. This Could Get Ugly.

I'm 6 days out tonight and have started to run a fever around 102. Doc has me on Tylenol until tomorrow as long as I don't have any increasing pain. If the pain gets worse or the fever doesn't respond to Tylenol- to the ER I go.

And I am pretty much shitting myself. Leaking has been the one aspect of this surgery that scared me the most. Here's to hoping my body is just having a hard time adjusting!

  • I'm doing better now. I was released the day after I made my last post here, but admitted again for almost a week less than a week later with almost the same symptoms, only this time I was dry heaving

Oh my gosh, poor baby! But thank God there was no leak (hence no surgery)! I will keep praying that you get well soon, and that the antibiotics work quickly. We've all been so worried about you! Take care, sweetie!

Thanks for the update, I know you are relieved about the leak. I am sending you healing vibes, please feel better soon!!

I am SOOO glad you do not have a leak. Try to rest and heal!! Girl let them pump you full of antibiotics to get that infection outta there and fluids to help you get back to where you need to be. Praying for you!!! ((HUGS))

yay for no leak! I'm glad you're being admitted to get the infection taken care of!

Keep us posted!

I am praying that whatever is causing your fever and pain is healed quickly. I don't know what is causing it, but whatever it is I am praying for immediate relief. Rest and calm yourself, because stressing over whatever the symptoms are can only make it worse. Blessings to you!!!

Glad there is no leak and you are getting good care now. Speedy recovery! HUGS!!!!

Thank you all for being so fab!!

I'm still in the hospital getting tons of IV antibiotics and nutrition. I've just been given my first tray of clears to work my way through. My WBC is down from over 16000 to right over 10000 (4500-10000ish is the normal range). So the antibiotics are working.

I really wated to go home today but not a single person has mentioned it, so I'm guessing tomorrow at the earliest.

Take the time you need, I'd say, don't leave until you're sure you're good. I'm glad its not a leak, but hope whatever is causing the infection is taken care of QUICKLY.

no point in leaving early - it just might cause you to come back for a longer period! Take the time, try to relax and know that you're getting the proper treatment so you don't EVER have to go back again! :)

Glad you're doing well!

So glad to read that you don't have a leak. So sorry to hear you are fighting an infection, but you are in the right place to get rid of it quick. Sending prayers your way...

So sorry to hear all you have gone through but so glad it wasn't a leak. Like the others, I'm curious to know how you are doing now. (((hugs)))
