  1. Im sure some of you have noticed that I deleted all my pictures.. and I will explain why.. Hopefully someone in an administrative position can give me insite on this. Because of all the Identity fraud going on I always check my name on the internet. Using my screen names, my real name, my email just to see what pulls up... here's what I found. I am on this site because I had a VERTICAL SLEEVE! not any other surgery.. and yet somehow my profile had been duplicated on the RNY, Gastric bypass and band website, because they are all run by the same people. all of my pictures that I had posted on here, all my information and all my posts!!!! I AM NOT OK WITH THAT!!! I had to go into each site and delete all my information and even though I absolutely think that VST is a great help and motiviational tool for all, I do not agree with sharing all my information on other sites. I have tried to email support on several occasions to delete my account permanently with no response from anyone. I don't know if any of you are aware that you information is being used on these other sites as well but if you didn't know... I hope this is informative to you. I would honestly suggest pulling your email address in google and see what pops up so you are aware of what information is being put on the internet regarding your personal information and life as well as pictures. I have met soooooo many wonderful people on this site and I truely had people inspire ME as I hope that I have been able to inspire others... And I apologize to anyone if you felt i deserted you as a mentor. That was not my intention. I have had a few emails from people saying that they enjoyed the motivation that I provided and I hope that you can continue to receive the motiviation that you desire, but unfortunately I am removing all pictures of myself and all pertinent information regarding myself, for my own peace of mind. But most of all I wanted to let others know just incase you weren't aware that your information is being shared with other websites that are owned by the same individuals. YOU CAN LITERALLY USE YOUR SAME LOGIN INFO THAT YOU USE FOR VST ON THESE OTHER WEBSITES RNYTALK.COM SLEEVEPLICATIONTALK.COM LAPBANDTALK.COM SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THATS RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!? OR ETHICAL!
  2. sorry they got deleted everyone.. not quite sure how i managed that.. but here is at least my before and after.

  4. feeling great!!! lol the best part... no pain.. its amazing what losing weight will do for all your aches and pains.
  5. Ive said it before and ill say it again......... I luv the man room!
  6. LOL ... I love you guys... I really can't say it enought thank you sooooooooooo much!!! I have to admit a lot of my success came from this forum... it came from everyones support and luv for each other! when I first started trust me I was asking allllllll kinds of questions.. and it was because of the other vets that I was able to have the journey that I had so please feel free to ask anything. I do have some lose skin, but honestly every day that I work out or do my exercise I am toning up little by little, the fact that I started working out at week 3 is probably what helped a lot and the fact that I always did some sort of exercise even before the surgery.. I exfoliate and use firming lotion just to aide in the process. Its still there, and im sure after I have kids i will want a tummy tuck. lol. the real issue that I have is genetics... I have strech marks everywhere which sucks but the only thing that will make those go away is time, your skin is always shedding cells and eventually the strechmarks will fade but the only thing I care about is me being healthy... If a guy doesn't want me cuz i have stretch marks or a little lose skin... well ...HE CAN KICK ROCKS! but thankfully I have a man who loves me for me. I have had a lot of people message me, and I just want you to know I don't mind it one little bit, I will answer any question that you might have to the best of my ability... just as others have helped me im just payin it forward. )
  7. I am definitely all smiles here!!! lol this sleeved has changed my life.. im happy, im healthy, im able to do things that i thought i couldn't anymore.. but most importantly im able to do things i never dreamed about! My confidence is back and I just feel like i have a 2nd chance to be a better me!
  8. Thank u pia...I actually started at 238 the day of surgery...and I'm down to 160. So a total of 78 lbs. In 7 months , but I've only lost 4lbs this month...I'm not trying to lose anymore weight..I'm happy with 160..I think I will look sickly if I lose anymore.
  9. Thank you so much! ) and congrats on upcoming surgery, im sure you are gonna do just fine.. cuz you've already took the hardest step, deciding to get the surgery! I can promise you 2 things... Its not gonna be easy, but it will be the best decision you ever made if work your sleeve! Thank you!!! Im feeling good, and i know you will be right where i am! Im glad that i can inspire you, cuz a few months ago i was saying the same thing to someone who inspired me! Its one of the greatest things about this site... everyone is here to support each other! I cant wait to hear how your journey goes! So keep me posted! AGAIN... THANK YOU EVERYONE! HAVING YOUR SUPPORT THESE FEW MONTHS IS WHAT GAVE ME THE STRENGTH TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT I DID WHEN I HAD PEOPLE IN MY LIFE GIVING ME CRAP FOR IT! Funny part is.... if they're not giving me crap for being to big... they're givin me crap for being too skinny! lol... THANK GOODNESS IM NOT HERE TO PLEASE THEM! this one was just for me!!!!!
  10. I appreciate that and i agree it really is all about attitude, I have seen first hand how just thinking the sleeve will do all the work , or even gastric bypass will do the work for you, and people end up not happy with the results.. Some people think i took the easy way out, but I worked my but off! I was in the gym 6 days a week running 3 days a week doing circuit training 3 days a week. So easy was not part of this! I worked for every pound lost. and i know you will do amazing because you have the right attitude as well! Thank you so much, im glad that i can be a positive influence for you. and trust me it is not easy being in that bikini, im still really self conscious but im workin on it..lol
  11. again a huge THANK YOU to everyone.. you all put smiles on my face tonight.. and i was actually having, and kind of still am having a bad night! but then i get on here and my troubles take a back seat for a little while! so again to my VST family... Thank you so very much for all of your ongoing support!
  12. I was hitting the gym almost 5-6 days a week interchanging between cardio and weights, and my cardio would be zumba, running, kickboxing, or bootcamp.. basically anything that kept my heart rate up plus that way i never got bored with my workouts.. and i am actually a member at 3 gyms.. lol Congrats, july will come sooner than you think... and thank you so much, trust me work your sleeve to the fullest and you will get the results that you are looking for. what do you mean ONLY...lol 48 lbs is still very amazing.. that like an entire kid. Ive honestly realized if you Celebrate every lb lost, your journey will go by much smoother.. cuz really if you think about it .. without the surgery could have lost 48 lbs in 6 months.. I tried without the sugery... i gained weight.. lol.. but there will be times in your journey that you lose quicky and time where you wont lose at all.. I have since gained 5 lbs since i wrote this, and thats ok cuz i will just work my butt off and get the lbs gone again..lol.. in regards to food.. i just made sure i was eating as healthy as possible.. ate my Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack , dinner , snack. if i craved something sweet i ate fruit.. if i really wanted to be bad and eat some type of junk food, i did... might not sound right, but honestly like ive said before if i don't get what im craving for i will eat everything in its place till i get to what i want.. so i figure give my tummy what it wants in moderation ad then im ok. and drink plenty of Water. so basically my menu went like this breakfast- 1 egg white(normaly only ate like 2 bites), 1 bacon, salsa, orange juice snack-watermelon lunch- grilled chicken on salad snack- string cheese, or pickle dinner-fish, broccoli, snack- peanuts,
  13. Thank u so much, and dont get discouraged, we all hit the stall thru out this journey mine included..but i found that when i hit a stall i just up my cardio workouts and it breaks really easily.. go a little easier on urself ur only 5 weeks out ur body is still adjusting but trust me it will break. lmao!!! thank u that made me giggle!
  14. MIna im sure right now it seems like the pain wont end.. i know i was there.. the gas sucks, the motivation to do anything is even worse.. but once u get over that hill u will be able to enjoy your sleeve.. even now sometimes its still a pain in the butt, but I couldn't imagine what my life would be like had i NOT embarked on this journey 6 months ago.. And every day I am thankful that I had the opportunity to go thru with it. I think when i first started my journey all i did was look at the success stories because it gave me a viable end result that i could physically see in others.. and if it werent for this site and the wonderful people on it im sure my journey may have been much different. I wish u all the best and just know that it will get easier as time passes. lissa thank u so much.. i know i wish we could do a girls night out.. and honestly we just might i visit FL so next time im down i will make sure to give u a buzz.. U are always so positive and give great feedback, its people like you that made my journey so much better, easier in fact.
  15. Today marks my 6 month anniversary.. I am 11 lbs from goal, but not trying to lose anymore weight. I officially posted my before, during and after pics in the success section of VST if you are interested in looking at them.. but i will post 2 pics here.. my before and after. I again would like to say thank you to everyon that followed my blog and my journey.. I hope I was able to inspire some of you and be a helping hand to anyone that needed it... And i appreicate all of your support. so without further ado.... me at my heaviest.. me yesterday 06-11-12
  16. Today I am 6 months post op and although i am still 11 lbs from goal, I am no longer going for weight loss. I feel most comfortable at 160 because I have a lot of muscle so I will always weight more than the average lady and I am ok with that.. Even tho I am not going for weight loss anymore I am now going to see if i can TONE up.. more likely than not i will actually put on a few lbs in the process, but I want my muscle back. I will start doing P90x again, and what i really wanna try is INSANITY, but i need to order it first so for now P90X it is.. lol.. If anyone is interested in my before and after pics I posted them in the VSG sucess section.. Wish me luck and hopefully in 90 days i can post better more toned pics of me.. Good luck to everyone on their journeys.
  17. thank you so much.. that last one was hard for me to do i haven't been in a bikini since i was 17 but i swore to myself that would be the day that i felt like i was me again..
