Today I lay to rest one of my favorite supporters. Cheesecake, thank you for all the good times we had. Cheesecake made me feel better in hard times, and was always there to reward me for a job well done. Cheesecake was always there for every emotion willing and ready to either comfort me or Celebrate with me. Cheesecake was always at its best smothered in strawberries. While cheesecake was there for me in so many times of struggle, it was not without faults. Cheesecake was full of sugar and calories and so many times lead me into temptation. Cheesecake will be greatly missed but it is in a better place now, in the refrigerator of someone with a high metabolism and self control. Thank you cheesecake for everything. I will now turn to my husband for support when I am at my lowest and reward myself with a pedicure instead.

That concludes the food funeral for my great friend cheesecake frown.png

  • I too had to hold a funeral for my best friend. Pepsi. We spent every day together. Some times all day. He was seldom further than an arms length away. I wanted to be with him from almost the first mo

  • Y'all, I'm from new Orleans. I'm going to have to have a mass funeral. Fried anything, you were my friend. Along with the red solo cup full of cold beer or coke depending on who drove. I will always m

Never had a crawfish or a boil (and never plan to have one either!) but I had the same concerns about pizza or taco's or whatever.

What happens is that you are physically unable to pig out without causing considerable pain and/or vomiting. I am one who believes in eating what you want, within reason, only controlling the amounts. Protein first then veggies (have almost no desire for breads, rice or pasta)

I would think eating crawfish would be "legal" and I think you'll find just a bite or two of the potatoes and whatever else will satisfy you.

My problem is that I after I eat the food, it tasted soooooooo good that I want more. But I know that if I take even one more bite I will be uncomfortable for hours. So that keeps me from over eating. You only have so much space and if you try and overfill it-it just can't fit so it comes right back up.

But I say go and enjoy and socialize and just figure out how to make the meal work into your plan. In small amounts.

I miss diet pepsi - it was my go to every morning - always a bottle in the frig for a quick sip to start my day off - this morning I craved Water when I woke up.

I think a scallop would be ok - cut up in small pieces. My thought on the food intake is to not totally deprive myself of anything - just a taste is all I need; I am fine knowing that I can eventually have a bite or two of anything my stomach will accept; just not going to eat a half a bag at one sitting - just a taste will be fine.

Yesterday I had two parties to attend; ate piece of cheese, small meatball and a piece of shrimp at both - I even ate an eighth of a piece of boneless buffalo chicken - (before I would have eaten 8 of them).

I have lost 28lbs to date - my doctor put me on regular food after three weeks (sleeved four weeks ago) so far everything is great - so glad to not feel deprived of anything (except beer and pepsi) - it is working for me!

I haven't had any food funerals thus far and don't plan to, but I had to let you guys know that this is the CUTEST thread ever.

LOL!!!!!!! Boy I sure would love to have some crawfish right now!!! I"m so glad that I don't live in Louisiana because I would probably weigh over 600 lbs or more. Love me some Cajun food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My funeral-to-be is going to have to involve chinese food (dumplings! stir fry! spring rolls!) and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Frankly, anything peanut butter and chocolate makes me go "Yes, please, I'll have another". Yet at the same time I'm okay with it. Just think about how much nicer it'll be in the summer heat without the extra poundage!

Louisiana is hands down the best food state. Its gonna be hard but ive lost 20 lbs pre-op and down 2 dress sizes. I'm stoked and I CAN AND WILL DO THIS.
