Did It Hurt When They Removed The Staples?

I had surgery on Dec. 16th and I was suppose to have my staples removed on Dec. 30th (2 weeks post-op). But because of the holidays the soonest I could see the Dr. is Jan 9th (3 weeks 3 days post-op). Because of the extra week I'm a little worried about the staple removal hurting more. This was my first surgery and I have never broken anything so I'm still trying to gage my pain threshold. To tell the truth I don't even know the process used to remove the staples! Any suggestions? I just want to be better prepared so I don't see a weird tool and want to run, LOL!! bolt.gif

I had 16 staples. and it did feel like someone scratching an itch I had...felt kinda good... There was a couple that stung alittle bit but seriously it hurts more to pop your own pimple or something dumb like that that.. not bad at all...

after the staples were removed though my nurse sprayed an adhesive before putting on the sterri strips and that stung more..lol I made her blow on my belly..lol

Mine had grown over a bit due to my appointment getting rescheduled, and it did sting on a few of them, but it didn't HURT hurt and it was over super quick.
